How to overhaul the starter commutator

( A ) visual inspection checks commutator commutator surface is ablated , severe wear . Available when necessary sandpaper or a cylindrical commutator lathe trimming ( Figure 4-15 ) .

( 2 ) Check the commutator roundness of cylindrical surface shown in Figure 4-16 , with two V-shaped block commutator supported on the test platform . Repair commutator copper thickness should be more than 2mm , or should be replaced commutator .

( 3 ) Check the commutator wear shown in Figure 4-17 , with a vernier caliper commutator outer diameter . Songhua standard mini car starter commutator diameter of 32.5mm, use limit is 31.0mm. If you use the commutator outer diameter less than the limit , replace the armature assembly.

( 4 ) Check the commutator commutator copper copper depth inspection depth ( Figure 4-18 ) , the standard value of 0.5-0.8mm, use limit is 0.2mm. If the commutator wear , its distance is less than the depth of the insulator between the use of limits , replace the blade drawing commutator or use an insulator , so that the depth of the commutator copper to meet the requirements .
