How to overhaul the starter solenoid switch

Check the terminal contacts and the contact plate contact is good, with or without ablation, damaged insulation and grounding. If so, should be repaired. Check the coil and secure his position to attract coil short circuit and open circuit.

Shown in Figure 4-23, use a multimeter to check electromagnetic switch between terminal 50 and terminal C without breaking. If the open circuit, replace the solenoid switch.

Shown in Figure 4-24, use a multimeter to check electromagnetic switch terminal 50 between the shell and the electromagnetic switch is open circuit. If the open circuit, replace the solenoid switch.

Starter overhaul, should be checked before the refitted with copper sleeve armature gap. If the gap is more than 0.15mm, should be replaced with new copper sets, and conduct reamer. In assembly, the copper sleeve, armature journal, keyways, thrust washers, etc. friction parts, should raise the amount of oil for lubrication.
